Nordica’s Guizhou Outing & 2025 Annual Meeting

Embracing Resilience, Charging Into the Year of the Horse

In mid-January, Nordica gathered its entire team for a special trip and annual summary meeting in Guizhou—a beautiful province in southwestern China, known for its lush mountains, rich cultural heritage, and warm local vibes. We chose this place not just for its stunning scenery, but for the spirit of perseverance and optimism that lingers here, something we hoped every Nordica colleague to feel and carry forward.

Over several days, we traded our desks for Guizhou’s breathtaking landscapes, bonding as a team while exploring everything this wonderful place had to offer. Our adventures included a visit to Zhongnanmen Ancient City, a charming historic district where green bricks and gray tiles line the streets, and two rivers meet gently—perfect for slow walks and getting to know each other better outside of work.

The most unforgettable part? Our trip to Fanjing Mountain, one of China’s most beloved Buddhist mountains. It was a day of rain, chill, and thick fog atop the peaks, making every step a little harder. But here’s what made it special: not a single person gave up. We cheered each other on, helped those feeling tired, and eventually, we all met at the top of Hongyun Golden Summit. That moment wasn’t just about reaching a mountain peak—it was a reminder of what we can do when we stick together, support one another, and stay positive, even when things get tough. As the saying goes, every encounter is meant to be, and that day, we felt it deeply—overcoming the cold and fatigue together was the best gift we could give each other, and a wonderful sign of good things to come in 2026.

We also spent time exploring Guizhou’s unique culture: we visited Moutai National Wine Culture City, where we learned about the thousands of years of Chinese wine history and the stories behind one of the world’s most famous spirits. We also wandered through a historic site that tells tales of perseverance through difficult times—a powerful reminder of how resilience can carry us through any challenge, whether in life or at work.

In between our adventures, we held our 2025 Annual Summary Meeting—warm, heartfelt, and full of pride for what we’ve accomplished together. On the first day, our 11 key leaders, along with representatives from every division (Cooling, Heating, New Energy) and functional team (Quality & Technology, Administration, Finance), shared their thoughts on 2025. Everyone talked openly about the year’s wins, the lessons we learned, and their hopes for 2026—short, sincere updates that felt like conversations, not speeches, making it easy for everyone to connect and feel invested.

The second day of the meeting was even more inspiring. Our Chairman Lynda and CEO Ken took the time to look back on 2025, and we had so much to celebrate: a 33% year-on-year growth, and every single target we set was not just met, but exceeded. They also talked openly about the complex world we operate in, reminding us to stay humble, keep innovating, and keep moving toward our goals of growing internationally while staying connected to local markets.

Most importantly, they shared their vision for 2026: we’re doubling down on what matters most—our people. That means better performance plans, improved systems, a more positive team atmosphere, more opportunities for training and promotion, better benefits, and building a corporate culture where everyone feels valued and supported. We wrapped up the meeting with an award ceremony, honoring colleagues who went above and beyond in 2025—cheers, laughter, and a lot of pride filled the room.

By the end of our trip, we left Guizhou with full hearts, cherished memories, and a new sense of energy. This trip wasn’t just a team-building outing—it was a chance to reconnect, recharge, and remember the values that make Nordica great: resilience, optimism, and teamwork. As we head into the Year of the Horse—a year symbolizing courage, progress, and momentum—we’re ready to charge forward, climb new heights, and take on whatever comes our way.

At Nordica, we believe that taking care of our team is the key to success. This trip is just one way we show that we value every single team member. If you’re looking for a company where you can grow, be supported, and work with an amazing team that feels like family, we’d love to have you join us. Here’s to 2026—we’ll make it our best year yet!
